SACRAMENTO — Plaintiff firm Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy opened a new office in Sacramento this week and snagged retired federal Judge Frank Damrell Jr. to headline the branch.

Damrell, a 1997 Clinton appointee, left the Eastern District bench in Sacramento last October. He’ll now serve as of counsel to Cotchett, Pitre and focus on the firm’s pension fraud and false claims litigation, said partner Niall McCarthy.
