California’s judge-vetting commission has given its highest evaluation grade to Goodwin Liu, Gov. Jerry Brown’s pick for the state Supreme Court.
The Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation said Liu, a Berkeley Law professor and a former Obama nominee for the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, is “exceptionally well qualified” for the appointment.
