SAN FRANCISCO — Three more lawyers have joined the race for San Francisco DA, though most of the attention will go to Bill Fazio, the former line prosecutor and criminal defense attorney who has run three times before. Also new to the race are Vu Trinh, a former Orange County public defender, and Maurice Chenier, an attorney who lists a Los Angeles address with the State Bar.

Fazio filed papers with the elections office Monday, and his first move as an official candidate was to join rivals Sharmin Bock and David Onek in calling for DA George Gascón to recuse himself in a criminal investigation of Mayor Ed Lee.
