Maureen Sheehy has been elected to serve on the board of directors of the East Bay Community Law Center. Sheehy, co-managing partner at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, is on the firm’s executive committee and focuses on complex business litigation, intellectual property litigation and unfair competition matters. She graduated from University of Chicago Law School in 1987.
The American Association for Justice has presented Michael Bien of Rosen, Bien & Galvan and Donald Specter of the Prison Law Office with the 2011 Leonard E. Weinglass In Defense of Civil Liberties Award. Bien and Specter were honored for their historic victory in Brown v. Plata at the U.S. Supreme Court.
