Major, Lindsey & Africa has added Robert Brigham as a managing director in its San Francisco and Palo Alto offices. Brigham, who was previously with Cooley, represents partners and practice groups seeking new opportunities throughout the Bay Area. He received his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1988.
President Obama has appointed Roberta Achtenberg as a commissioner on the United States Commission on Civil Rights. Achtenberg is a member and past chair of the California State University Board of Trustees and serves as vice chair of the board of the Bank of San Francisco. She graduated from University of Utah College of Law in 1975.
