The court held that a mining company that sold raw asbestos could not avoid liability for its failure to warn about the hazards of asbestos by placing the blame on the manufacturers who also failed to warn their customers about the hazards of the asbestos included in their manufactured goods.

Plumber Larry Stewart frequently worked near drywall installers who used joint compound that contained asbestos. Stewart was diagnosed with mesothelioma. The alleged cause was his exposure to asbestos.
