Gov. Gavin Newsom’s latest nominations to two Northern California courts of appeal sailed through their confirmation hearings Tuesday after receiving lavish praise from fellow jurists, including a California Supreme Court justice.

The Commission on Judicial Appointments unanimously approved the appointments of Napa County Superior Court Judge Monique Langhorne Wilson to the First District, Division One, and Aimee Feinberg, a state deputy solicitor general, to the Third District. Both will serve as associate justices.
