The Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association approved the withdrawal of two law schools that have been on teach-out plans—but these schools are still offering J.D. programs.

University of La Verne College of Law, located in Ontario, California, has been cutting ties with the ABA since 2019 and Thomas Jefferson School of Law, located in San Diego, lost an appeal objecting to the ABA’s decision to withdraw its accreditation in 2019.
