ArentFox Schiff is facing a conversion and breach-of-contract lawsuit out of California from a Nevada limited liability company. The suit alleges that an ArentFox Schiff attorney serving as an escrow agent in a business transaction involving the company disbursed more than $1 million in escrow funds without the company’s authorization.

The suit, which was filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claims that ArentFox Schiff and the other defendants, whom the firm represented in a business transaction, were involved in “several unlawful, unfair, or deceptive business practices” related to the transaction.
