The San Diego-based law firm Wilson Turner Kosmo has elevated two business litigators to partner, effective Jan. 1: Rita M. Leong and Elizabeth Chiba Rein. Part of the firm’s class action and employment practice groups, Leong’s practice involves representing employers involved in complex workplace disputes involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims as well as wage-and-hour and class-action lawsuits. Rein, part of the firm’s products liability and warranty practice groups, defends automotive manufacturers and Fortune 500 companies in warranty, products liability, consumer lending and personal injury matters in state and federal court.

The Complex Appellate Litigation Group announced that Rex Heinke and Robert Roth have become partners. Previously, both were counsel to the firm. Heinke, in the Los Angeles office, has argued nearly 175 appeals in federal and state courts across the country, and is regularly called on to defend major corporations and high-profile individuals in some of their most hotly contested appellate matters. Roth, in the San Francisco office, has decades of experience as an appellate practitioner and more than 25 published appellate opinions to his name. In addition, Jocelyn Sperling has joined the firm’s San Francisco office as counsel. Jocelyn is a former law clerk to Judge Richard Paez on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and she also served for several years as a staff attorney on that court.
