Objectors have challenged the timing of a proposed $30 million attorney fee request in the TikTok privacy class action settlement.

The deadline to object or opt out of the $92 million settlement is Jan. 31, but lead counsel aren’t expected to file their motion for attorney fees until March 31. That’s prompted at least four objections, including one from Edelson PC, which already has a pending motion accusing lead counsel of threatening the Chicago firm to drop a previous motion criticizing the settlement.
