Judge M. Margaret McKeown of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit will be taking senior status after nearly 24 years on the court.

McKeown is the fifth Ninth Circuit judge to go senior, a form of semi-retirement, since President Joe Biden took office. The Biden administration has already appointed four people to fill the vacancies created in the last year, with three of them already confirmed to the bench.
