Morgan Chu sure is setting his sights low.

The Irell & Manella partner asked a Waco jury on Tuesday to award only $2.8 billion for patent infringement against Intel Corp. That’s more than the $2.175 billion he won for the same VLSI Technology client last month, but less than the $3 billion-plus figure his damages expert testified to last week.
