After months of waiting and weathering a pandemic that has decimated the travel and lodging industries, short-term rental giant Airbnb finally went public Thursday, pricing its initial offering at $68 per share, well over the estimated range of $56 to $60 many analysts had predicted. That puts the company at an enterprise value of about $47 billion.

Leading the charge for Airbnb was Latham & Watkins.
