E-commerce giant Amazon is being investigated by German authorities following allegations it abused its dominant market position during the COVID-19 pandemic, both parties have confirmed.

Germany’s national antitrust authority’s (Bundeskartellamt) investigation will narrow in on Amazon’s relationship with third-party sellers on its platform, following complaints that certain traders were blocked by the website due to allegedly high prices, people at both organisations said.
