The court of appeals granted in part and denied in part a petition for review of an order of the Office of Chief Administrative Hearing Officer, Executive Office for Immigration Review, Department of Justice. The court held that an employer’s misplaced reliance on its human resources director to comply with the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) was not grounds for extending the statutory good faith defense to its substantive violations of the Act.
