SACRAMENTO — The State Bar of California has retained trial firm Hueston Hennigan in its ongoing legal battle with former executive director Joe Dunn.

In a statement issued Wednesday, bar leaders gave no reason why they dropped their previous counsel in the matter, Burke, Williams & Sorensen, although one of the firm’s lawyers working on the case, Ronald Frank, was recently appointed to the Los Angeles County bench.
