A group opposed to the Golden State Warriors’ San Francisco arena project has fired the first shot in what promises to be a lengthy legal fight.
The Mission Bay Alliance on Thursday filed a long-expected lawsuit seeking to block plans for a new arena next to the University of California-San Francisco’s Mission Bay campus. But the group, represented by Boies, Schiller & Flexner and three local environmental attorneys, isn’t attacking the city’s environmental-impact report—at least not yet.
