SACRAMENTO – California Attorney General Kamala Harris on Tuesday praised a San Diego jury for convicting the operator of a so-called revenge-porn website on 27 counts of identity theft and extortion.

Kevin Christopher Bollaert was arrested in December 2013 for uploading more than 10,000 nude and sexually explicit photos of women on UGotPosted.com without their consent. The pictures, supplied by ex-lovers, were accompanied by the women’s names, locations, ages and Facebook page links. When the women complained, they were directed to another Bollaert-created website, ChangeMyReputation.com, and asked to pay up to $350 each for a photo’s removal.
