SACRAMENTO — The chairman of the newly formed Assembly Committee on Privacy and Consumer Protection announced Tuesday that he’ll let the public write one of the legislative session’s first privacy-related bills.

Assemblyman Mike Gatto, D-Silver Lake, unveiled a wiki-based website with an open invitation to anyone interested in drafting legislation that addresses some type of privacy issue. Gatto set no restrictions on the content and said he’s committed to introducing whatever emerges by consensus.
