Athletics are a huge attraction at Rutgers University, and the New Jersey Supreme Court is considering whether the school broke the law by discussing sports policies behind closed doors.
A lawyer for New Jersey’s largest university asked the justices during argument April 24 to upend an Appellate Division ruling that said the board of governors violated the Open Public Meetings Act in 2008.
