Even before legal arguments began in a pretrial hearing for Bill Cosby, evidentiary discussions devolved into shouting matches, as the court prepared to determine whether women who have accused Cosby of sexual assault should be allowed to testify at trial.

Prosecutors and lawyers for Bill Cosby were set to argue Tuesday over the potential testimony of 13 women who have alleged that Cosby sexually assaulted them over a span of several decades. The two sides got into heated arguments several times throughout the day about whether the women’s names should be used in court.
