A federal judge has dismissed four plaintiffs’ claims against Ford Motor Co. over allegedly defective throttles in 2005 Ford Expedition sport utility vehicles.

U.S. District Judge Eduardo C. Robreno of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted Ford’s motion for summary judgment in the consolidated actions. The plaintiffs sued after having paid hundreds of dollars out-of-pocket to replace the throttle components in their vehicles. They claim Ford should have paid those bills under the car warranty.
