While most of Pennsylvania’s indigenous firms have focused the majority of their lateral growth outside of the state in recent years, the start of 2016 has shown firms are interested in adding talent within the state as well.

As law firms look to add books of business in a low-growth market, the practice focus has been across the board since the start of the year. But the majority of the additions are on the litigation side as opposed to the corporate work that had been driving a lot of growth in the previous two years.
