A former intellectual property partner at Blank Rome has sued the firm for terminating his partnership, alleging in the complaint that it was done to “steal” his practice and because the firm’s chairman didn’t like the partner’s LGBT advocacy.

According to the complaint in Zaher v. Blank Rome, former partner Alfred Zaher has alleged Blank Rome interfered with his origination credit and practice in a “nefarious plan” to “steal Zaher’s client base” for the benefit of the firm and the head of the intellectual property practice.
