A mentally-ill inmate who was stripped naked by prison guards and left restrained to a chair for nearly 14 hours will have another chance to prove in court that he was subjected to cruel and unusual punishment.

A federal appeals court Tuesday ruled that inmate Leonard G. Young Jr.’s Eighth Amendment suit against prison leadership at State Correctional Institution at Greene, located near Waynesburg, should not have been dismissed by the trial judge.
