After four years of building a new leadership structure, Chester County-based Gawthrop Greenwood has chosen a new leader to take on the firm’s next set of goals.

Walter P. Eells was elected to chair the committee, the firm announced Tuesday. He takes the place of Sandra L. Knapp, who was the first to chair the committee. Knapp decided to step down last year, Eells said, so the committee held an election. The transition from Knapp to Eells began Jan. 1.
