Elected and Appointed

Christian V. Badali of Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby was elected to the council of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's family law section.

Andrew D. Taylor was also appointed co-chair of the PBA's family law section legislative committee.

Badali is a partner in the firm's family law practice group and is based in the firm's Norristown, Pa., office.

Taylor, a partner also based in the Norristown office, focuses his practice exclusively in family law and handles all matters of divorce, support and custody.


In 2003, Pepper Hamilton female partners, including Hope A. Comisky and Joan C. Arnold, founded the firm's Women's Initiative (WIN!) to focus on recruiting, retaining, promoting and supporting its female attorneys.

This year, Pepper Hamilton restructured WIN! and appointed Maria A. Feeley to serve as the WIN! chair and Joy A. Barrist to serve as vice chair.

Feeley also serves as vice chair of the firm's diversity committee.

The expanded WIN! will consist of five subcommittees. An advisory board will provide guidance and perspective to the initiative.


Christina D. Frangiosa of Semanoff Ormsby Greenberg & Torchia presented a discussion of trademark law issues during the American Bar Association's annual meeting Presidential Showcase Program, "IP Is All Around Us," sponsored by the ABA's intellectual property law section August 8.

Frangiosa was also honored with a leadership award during the IPL section's leadership dinner August 8.

She concentrates her practice on intellectual property and technology law, including trademark advisory services, litigation and licensing, unfair competition, false advertising, domain name disputes, Internet and computer law, copyright disputes and trade secret matters. •
