Stevens & Lee shareholder William W. Uchimoto and Jinjin Gu, vice president of Griffin Financial Group, presented at the Entrepreneur Forum of Wuhan on April 27 in Wuhan, China.
In the presentation, “How to Participate in the U.S. Capital Market,” Uchimoto and Gu outlined various ways a Chinese company can go public in the U.S. on the NYSE, NASDAQ or OTC markets.
Uchimoto was also invited to speak on legal issues before Chinese securities regulators, law professors and law students regarding China-based companies listed in the United States at the China Securities Law Society Annual Seminar, held at Peking University in Beijing.
Vanessa McGrath, associate in the litigation department of Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg, was a co-host of Temple Law Alumni Association‘s Womens’ Initiative, moderated by Dean JoAnne Epps of Temple University’s Beasley School of Law.
The program was titled, “Mentors, Sponsors, and Champions — Oh My! A Panel of Women Lawyers Share Tips on Propelling Ahead in the Profession Through Supportive Relationships.”
Michael L. Krancer, partner and energy, petrochemical and natural resources practice group leader at Blank Rome, is set to speak at two energy events this month.
Today, Krancer is serving as the keynote luncheon speaker at the opening day of the “Fourth Law of Shale Plays Conference” in Fort Worth, Texas.
The conference covers legal, technical and practical aspects of the surge of shale oil and gas development in the United States.
On June 10, Krancer is scheduled to speak at the Water Management for Shale Plays 2013 conference in Denver during the “Northeast: Marcellus & Utica” presentation.
He will discuss topics such as critical issues in sourcing and treating water, the influence of geography in sourcing and disposal, and current waste regulations and regulatory changes.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Delaware Valley chapter, announced that Justin H. Brown, an attorney at Flaster Greenberg, is one of 50 corporate leaders nominated to Philadelphia’s MS Leadership Class.
Brown is a member of the firm’s business and corporate, taxation and trusts and estates practice groups, focusing his practice on estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration and estate litigation. •
Martin LLC employees in March contributed canned and nonperishable goods to benefit the Eastern Service Workers Association of Philadelphia, a free and voluntary membership association run by and for low-income workers, offering year-round emergency food, clothing and medical care to members in need.
