Daniel J. Meltzer, the Story Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, is set to take over as the director of the American Law Institute in June 2014.

Meltzer is set to succeed Lance Liebman, the William S. Beinecke Professor of Law at Columbia Law School and current ALI director, who will step down after 15 years in the position. Meltzer will be only the sixth director in ALI’s 90-year history.
