Time is running out for some lawmakers trying to block property value reassessments in Allegheny County. Reassessment notices starting going out to Allegheny County homeowners in the last week of 2011.

“The House twice approved bills that would place a moratorium on reassessments until we could develop a statewide plan,” said Bill Patton, spokesman for state Rep. Frank Dermody, the Democratic leader in the state House of Representatives. “They never made it in tact to the governor.”
