The Westmoreland County Courthouse will celebrate its 100th anniversary over the next four months. The celebration kicked off with a gala event at the courthouse on Sept. 14 which was attended by over 300 people.

The courthouse was constructed and completed in 1907 and the first court case was heard in September of that year. The building was not officially dedicated until January of 1908.
