The past several years have seen a lot of turnover in the state’s courts as many judges have chosen to hang up their robes in exchange for law firm life. Does that mean they have to hand in their titles when they leave the bench?
Sure attorneys may continue to refer to their colleagues who descended from the bench as “judge,” “justice” or “your honor.” But should those judges personally maintain the title on Web sites, letterheads, phone messages and court documents?
