As we prepare to ring in 2009, we take time to look back and reflect on the major events that shaped 2008: the Olympics in Beijing; the Philadelphia Phillies winning the World Series; and the election of Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States. The Philadelphia Association of Paralegals, in its own right, also had many events and activities from 2008 which can be highlighted.
This year, we were honored to have a board of directors including President Lyndora Patterson Tiller, First Vice President Renee Mazzeo, Second Vice President Sharon DeNofa, Secretary Alafia Aycock, Treasurer Paula Wright, Assistant Treasurer Mary Chan and board Adviser Valerie Dolan. The members of our board of directors continue to work to promote the growth and advancement of our organization and profession as well as the career development of our members. At present, PAP has more than 425 voting members as well as several other active categories of membership.
