The Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas has a new leader in its criminal trial division—Judge Rose Marie DeFino-Nastasi.

Since DeFino-Nastasi took over as the division supervising judge June 26, she has overseen a part of the court that has been at the center of her decades-long career. But she is adjusting to a role that she knows will present unique challenges.
