Derek Green, former Philadelphia mayoral candidate and city councilman, and current attorney at Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel, has made a career from being involved in government work.
A litigation attorney at the firm, he’s negotiated intergovernmental agreements and mediated contract disputes, among other types of typical litigation work. He was elected to Philadelphia’s City Council first in 2016 and received a second term in 2019 before he resigned in 2022 to pursue his mayoral candidacy, exiting the race on April 13.
