Following is a listing of executive and legislative action for the week of Oct. 24. Both houses of the General Assembly were in recess at press time. The Pennsylvania Senate was scheduled to reconvene Nov. 15, subject to earlier recall by President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, R-Centre. The state House of Representatives was set to return to session Nov. 14, subject to earlier recall by Speaker Bryan Cutler, R-Lancaster.

Claims Protection

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives approved a bill to expand health insurance pre-authorization for patients to help deliver better care outcomes and give consumers more protection when disputing payment claims.
