A Pennsylvania judge has rejected efforts by The Philadelphia Inquirer and columnist Inga Saffron to dismiss a defamation suit former Daily News columnist Stuart Bykofsky filed following a combative retirement party.

Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Sean Kennedy denied the defendants’ summary judgment motion Oct. 3, with the ruling getting docketed Oct. 5. Kennedy’s one-line denial did not explain his reasoning.
