One of the hallmarks of Trudgen’s practice is his focus on understanding all aspects of his clients’ businesses and related risks, and developing deep and long-term client relationships. A prime example of this is his longstanding representation of PNC Bank. Brian has represented PNC for over 17 years, playing an integral role in PNC’s syndicated lending growth strategy. He has led the representation of over 100 syndicated loan transactions for PNC with total deal value exceeding $50 billion.

During the pandemic, Australia-based Coronado Global Resources turned to Trudgen to lead the firm’s representation of Coronado in a multi-tranche recapitalization transaction simultaneously including a U.S.-style asset-based loan facility, a U.S. notes offering, and an Australian equity offering. Trudgen was responsible for leading and coordinating a multi-jurisdictional, multi-disciplinary team that worked around the clock for several months across countries and time zones.
