One month into Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath’s newly launched artificial intelligence and automated decision-making practice group, co-chairs Bennett Borden and Scott Kosnoff say the 20-lawyer team lies at the intersection of some of the firm’s major practice areas.

Insurance clients have the most sophisticated need for the firm’s AI-X group, as the regulatory aims of state insurance commissioners have progressed significantly in recent years. But Borden and Kosnoff said clients who turn to the firm’s financial services, labor and employment and health care attorneys are increasingly looking for answers on how to equitably and transparently use artificial intelligence.
