Criminal justice attorney John Martin Belli died at Temple University Hospital on Feb. 23 at the age of 65 after suffering a stroke, according to an obituary from his family.

Belli was most recently serving as a juvenile court hearing officer in the Family Division of the Court of Common Pleas of the First Judicial District. He served as a law clerk for many judges throughout his 40-year career, including Judge Jeffrey P. Minehart, Judge James Albert Lineberger and Justice Jane Cutler Greenspan.
