A measure to suspend the state sales tax in June and July is being floated in the General Assembly as a means of easing inflation worries.
Sen. Lisa Boscola, D-Northampton, said in a statement Feb. 22 that she intends to introduce legislation creating a two-month sales tax holiday in Pennsylvania. If successful, the state will not be collecting the 6% sales tax in June or July this year.
