What many saw as inevitable—that Pennsylvania’s congressional redistricting would be decided by the courts—came to fruition on Jan. 26 with Gov. Tom Wolf’s veto of House Bill 2146, which was approved on largely party-line votes, 110-91 in the state House of Representatives and 29-20 in the Pennsylvania Senate.

Anticipating the veto, the Commonwealth Court has asked all sides to submit maps for consideration, according to a report in The Philadelphia Inquirer.
