The Pennsylvania Supreme Court, rejecting a unanimous recommendation from its Disciplinary Board, has denied a former Bucks County attorney’s bid for reinstatement to the state bar.

Jay Marc Berger was initially admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in 1977. The state Supreme Court placed him on a temporary suspension in August 2009 after he pleaded guilty to mail fraud. He later resigned from the profession in September 2009, and was disbarred on consent in December 2009. Prior to this misconduct, he had no disciplinary record.
