This is the second installment of an ongoing series called “Keystone Conversations” focusing on diverse lawyers in Pennsylvania and how they’ve achieved success and developed their legal careers.

From a young age Adara Combs was a natural advocate, but it took a while before she was convinced that becoming a lawyer was the right move. Now, Combs is president of the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia and the supervisor of the juvenile unit at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office—the youngest person ever to hold a supervising role in the office. The Legal spoke with Combs about her career and why creativity is so important to being a successful advocate.
