Firm leaders at Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young on Thursday confirmed the loss of longtime partner Alan R. Gedrich, who died Oct. 30 after a year-and-a-half-long battle with cancer. He was 61.

A 22-year member of Stradley Ronon’s investment management group, Gedrich represented private funds, mutual funds and independent directors and counseled regional asset managers like the Chartwell Fund and Conestoga Funds. Firm leaders said in a statement that Gedrich garnered a national reputation for negotiating lines of credit for some of the country’s biggest mutual fund complexes.
