After nearly three weeks of trial, a Philadelphia jury on Wednesday awarded $5 million to a man who was severely injured after falling through an open hole on a roof that was under construction.

The award, obtained by attorneys at the four-lawyer personal injury law firm Pansini, Mezrow & Davis, came down as cases in Philadelphia are being tried in retrofitted courtrooms that allow for enhanced social distancing to help combat the spread of COVID-19.
