New voting machines, unprecedented levels of mail-in ballots being cast, and an entirely new Election Code all spell litigation troubles for Pennsylvania on Election Day and beyond, according to several election lawyers.

However, according to the attorneys who were speaking as part of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s “Election Day Litigation” CLE on Thursday, there are also encouraging signs that state officials are well-prepared and poll workers have been well-trained for the upcoming election, which should help things to run as smoothly as possible.
