• On Aug. 2, the Elder Justice & Civil Resource Center (EJCRC) and the Philadelphia Bar Association are set to co-host a “Volunteer Attorney Training Program: Landlord-Tenant Appeals & Motions Program Overview,” at the Philadelphia Bar Association, 11th-floor conference center, 1101 Market St., from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The CLE program will cover some of the most common landlord-tenant issues reported by the staff in the EJCRC that the volunteer attorneys are likely to encounter, and possible solutions for these situations. The program affords 2.0 substantive and 1.0 ethics free CLE credits for attorneys who agree to volunteer at the EJCRC for six hours. All volunteer attorneys will be expected to offer short-term, limited legal advice or representation at the EJCRC within three months of the program in order to receive their CLE credits. Nonvolunteer attorneys will pay the appropriate noted fee for CLE credit. For more information or to register online, visit www.philadelphiabar.org.
