Elected and Appointed

Scott H. Wolpert assumed the role of managing partner of Timoney Knox.

Wolpert, who heads the firm’s students’ rights department, joined the firm in 1992 and became a partner in 2003.

George M. Riter has served as the firm’s managing partner for the past 11 years.

Riter will continue to serve on the firm’s executive committee and chair the firm’s trust and estate department.

Wolpert has more than 20 years’ experience in education and special education law and litigation.

In 2016, he established the firm’s students’ rights department.


Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld added three new firm associates.

David Dalesandro and Andrew Doggett join Royer Cooper’s corporate and business group and will reside in the firm’s Conshohocken office.

Julie Latsko is the most recent attorney in the firm’s litigation group and she will reside in the Philadelphia office.

Latsko practiced at Duane Morris and Dechert.

Dalesandro joins Royer Cooper with experience gained during his career at Dilworth Paxson and Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson.

Prior to joining Royer Cooper, Doggett worked at Drinker Biddle & Reath and Baker & Hostetler.


The Pennsylvania Bar Association presented awards that recognize outstanding leadership in the legal profession and extraordinary service and long-standing membership in the association.

Anapol Weiss shareholder Lawrence R. Cohan was honored with the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association President’s Award at the group’s annual meeting.

Larry Bendesky, PTLA’s president, presented the award to Cohan to recognize his leadership and dedication to advocating for access to the civil justice system, and defending the rights of the innocent and injured.

Cohan has served on PTLA’s board for five years and served as its president in 2015-16.


Deborah J. Zateeny, of Zateeny Loftus, was a planner and presenter at the 16th annual Nonprofit Institute sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

The program was presented live in Philadelphia and simulcast to multiple other locations on May 23.

Zateeny is a partner in the law firm.

She has over 35 years of experience as a corporate and tax attorney, focusing on tax-exempt organizations.
